Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2026
By booking an appointment or purchasing a Grill Care Plan from YYC BBQ PRO SERVICE ("we", "us", or "our"), whether online, by phone, text, or email, you ("the customer") agree to the following Terms of Service.
Please read these terms carefully before booking or purchasing a plan.
1. Services
YYC BBQ PRO SERVICE provides mobile BBQ cleaning, repair, parts replacement, inspection, and seasonal maintenance services at the customer's property.
Our service area includes Calgary and surrounding communities, including Airdrie, Cochrane, Okotoks, Chestermere, Langdon, High River, Strathmore, Canmore, and Banff.
All work is normally performed on-site at the customer's home or property unless otherwise agreed.
2. Booking & Scheduling
- Online bookings are appointment requests only. An appointment is not final until confirmed by YYC BBQ PRO SERVICE by phone, text, or email.
- Customers must provide an accurate service address, working phone number, and, where requested, the BBQ brand, model, photos, and other information needed to prepare the quote.
- Appointment times may be provided as arrival windows rather than exact arrival times.
- We will make reasonable efforts to arrive within the confirmed window and will contact you if we expect a significant delay.
- Appointment availability varies throughout the season and is not guaranteed until confirmed.
3. Pricing & Payment
- Pricing is based on the grill's size, type, condition, accessibility, and the services requested.
- The service price will be confirmed with the customer before work begins.
- Any additional work or charges must be approved by the customer before proceeding.
- Replacement parts, materials, and special-order components are billed separately unless specifically included in the quote.
- Parts will only be ordered or installed with customer approval.
- Payment is due upon completion of the service unless another payment arrangement has been agreed to in writing.
- We accept Interac e-Transfer and card payments.
- Accounts unpaid for more than 7 days may be charged interest at 2% per month (24% per annum) on the outstanding balance until paid in full.

What Each Deep-Clean Visit Includes
Unless otherwise stated, a scheduled deep-clean visit includes:

- Burner inspection
- Heat-distribution inspection
- Basic gas-flow inspection
- Visual safety inspection
- Before-and-after service photos
Repairs and replacement parts are not included unless specifically stated.
Repair Discounts
- Care Plan repair discounts apply to eligible repair labour performed while the plan is active.
- Replacement parts and materials are billed separately at the quoted price.
- Care Plan discounts cannot normally be applied retroactively to work completed before the plan was purchased.
Seasonal Scheduling
Care Plan visits are seasonal services.
Each included visit must be used during the service period for which it is intended.
For example:
- Spring visits must be scheduled during the spring service period.
- Mid-summer visits must be scheduled during the mid-summer service period.
- Fall visits must be scheduled during the fall service period.
The 12-month plan term does not allow a customer to move a seasonal visit to any date of their choosing.
Appointment dates are arranged by mutual agreement and are subject to availability.
Purchasing a Care Plan does not guarantee a specific appointment date or time.
Plan Term
Each Care Plan is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
All included visits must be completed:
- during their applicable seasonal service period; and
- before the end of the 12-month plan term.
Unused seasonal visits do not automatically carry forward into another season or into the following plan year.
Customer Responsibility to Schedule
The customer is responsible for contacting YYC BBQ PRO SERVICE and scheduling included visits within the applicable seasonal period.
If a visit is not completed because of the customer, including:
- failure to schedule
- cancellation
- no-show
- failure to provide access to the grill
- inaccessible or unsafe work area
- failure to respond to scheduling attempts
the visit may expire at the end of its applicable service period or at the end of the plan term, whichever occurs first.
Expired visits are not refundable except where required by applicable law.
Cancellation & Refunds
A Care Plan may be cancelled for a full refund before the first included service visit has been completed, subject to any rights required by applicable law.
Once the first Care Plan service has been completed, the Care Plan becomes non-cancellable and non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.
If We Cannot Complete a Visit
If YYC BBQ PRO SERVICE is responsible for a scheduled Care Plan visit not being completed, we will:
- reschedule the visit at no additional charge; or
- if we are unable to reasonably provide the visit within the applicable plan term, refund the value allocated to that missed visit.
Renewal
- Care Plans do not renew automatically.
- We may remind customers before the plan expires and offer renewal.
- Renewal pricing may differ from the previous year's pricing.
5. Cancellation & Rescheduling
- Regular service appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled without charge with at least 24 hours' notice.
- Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a $99 + GST cancellation/service-call fee.
- The same fee may apply if our technician arrives and cannot perform the service because the grill or property is inaccessible.
- This fee is intended to cover reserved technician time, travel, and lost appointment availability.
- To cancel or reschedule, call or text 587-439-7387.
6. Access to the Property
The customer must provide safe and reasonable access to the grill at the scheduled service time.
This includes, where applicable:
- unlocked gates
- access codes or entry instructions
- clear access to the BBQ
- sufficient working space
- a BBQ that is cool enough to service safely
Pets must be secured away from the work area during the service.
The customer does not need to be home as long as access has been arranged and we can contact the customer by phone or text if necessary.
If safe access is unavailable, the technician may postpone or cancel the service.
7. Grill Condition, Pre-Existing Damage & Liability
BBQs are regularly exposed to heat, grease, weather, moisture, corrosion, and thermal expansion. Components may deteriorate over time even when the grill appears functional before service.
The customer acknowledges that:
- YYC BBQ PRO SERVICE is not responsible for damage or failure caused by pre-existing rust, corrosion, deterioration, wear, weakened components, damaged coatings, brittle wiring, damaged fasteners, prior repairs, manufacturer defects, or other pre-existing conditions.
- Older or deteriorated components may crack, break, detach, seize, or fail during normal cleaning, disassembly, reassembly, inspection, or testing because of their existing condition.
- Deep cleaning cannot reverse structural deterioration, corrosion, manufacturer defects, or normal wear and tear.
- If a component appears unsafe or beyond repair, we may recommend repair or replacement instead of continued use.
- Stickers, decals, serial labels, warning labels, and heat-warning labels may fade, peel, or become detached during cleaning, particularly when they are old or heat-damaged.
- Minor cosmetic marks or scratches may occur during normal servicing despite reasonable care.
- Plastic components may fade, discolor, or change shade because of age, heat exposure, chemicals, or previous deterioration.
- Painted, powder-coated, matte, plated, polished, anodized, or other specialty finishes may reveal fading, oxidation, staining, discoloration, or previous damage after cleaning.
- We take reasonable precautions to protect the BBQ and surrounding property during service.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, YYC BBQ PRO SERVICE's total liability arising from or relating to a specific service, including a claim alleging negligence, will not exceed the greater of:
- (a) the amount paid by the customer for that specific service; or
- (b) $1,000.
This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited or excluded.
Nothing in these Terms limits or waives any customer right or remedy that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
8. Before & After Photos
We may take photographs of the BBQ before, during, and after service for:
- documenting the condition of the unit
- recording pre-existing damage
- documenting completed work
- quality control
- warranty or service-history purposes
Photos used internally for service documentation may be retained as part of the service record.
Photos that clearly identify the customer, home, address, licence plate, people, or other identifying information will not be intentionally used for advertising or social media without permission.
Non-identifying before-and-after BBQ photos may be used in our portfolio or promotional materials unless the customer asks us not to.
Customers may request that their service photos not be used for marketing by notifying us before or during the appointment.
9. Weather & Unsafe Conditions
Severe weather or unsafe outdoor working conditions may require an appointment to be delayed or rescheduled.
This may include:
- severe rain
- thunderstorms
- extreme cold or heat
- high winds
- unsafe snow or ice conditions
If we reschedule because of unsafe weather or working conditions, no cancellation fee will apply.
10. Repairs & Replacement Parts
Where repair work is requested:
- Diagnosis may require partial disassembly or testing.
- Replacement parts are subject to availability.
- Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by manufacturers, distributors, customs, shipping companies, or other factors outside our control.
- No replacement part will be installed without customer approval.
- Replacement parts may carry a separate manufacturer warranty.
- YYC BBQ PRO SERVICE does not control the terms or administration of manufacturer warranties.
We may decline to repair equipment that we reasonably believe is unsafe, excessively deteriorated, incorrectly installed, or unsuitable for continued operation.
11. Customer Approval
If additional repairs, labour, parts, or charges are discovered after the service has started, we will request customer approval before proceeding whenever reasonably practicable.
Approval may be provided by:
- phone
- text message
- email
- electronic approval
- in-person authorization
12. Acceptance of These Terms
By:
- ticking "I agree to the Terms of Service" during an online booking or Care Plan purchase;
- confirming a booking by phone, text, or email; or
- authorizing us to begin the requested service,
the customer acknowledges that they have had an opportunity to review and agree to these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory rights provided under applicable law.
